Finally made it into the new Firefly tapas restaurant at the Plaza on Fremont Street. Pretty cool (and famous) location...

Vegas Home Prices Need to Keep Falling!
Report: LV home prices fall despite increases nationwide
Why is this a surprise to anyone?? Our f@cked-up housing market yet another reason why the rest of the country is going to recover way before we do. Let's face reality: Vegas homes were WAY overpriced to begin with. In the end, most of them are "cookie cutter" designs made from low-quality materials. Just because a house was worth $800,000 2 years ago doesn't mean it can't and shouldn't sell for $200,00 now. I'm sorry, but that's just the way things have worked out. When people start to bite the bullet (even more) and lower prices to a point where homes will actually start to sell we'll begin to see the beginnings of a true "rebound" in the Las Vegas housing market and maybe the Vegas economy as a whole. I know it sucks to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars on an investment. But what's the alternative? Stick with a property you're already way underwater on and hope that things start to pick up before your unemployment checks run out? It freaking sucks, I know, but I'm soooo sick and tired of hearing people whine and bitch about how much they've lost in the real estate market, how much less their house is worth compared with 2007, how much of a hit they're going to take if and when they sell.
Attention all Las Vegas homeowners who, for some idiotic reason, chose to buy when the market was way, WAY overheated...
GET THE F@CK OVER IT!
Everyone is struggling right now. So shut up. Bite the bullet. Lower your prices. Sell your homes. And get on with your life so that Vegas can actually start to wake up again... please!!!
